Location: New York, NY
One *billion* users a month <insert Dr Evil pinky on lip here>, and they want YOU as their next fulltime UX Designer hire. Read on!

Our client is a well-funded mobile data startup that already boasts massive, ground-quaking success: they have a slew of impressive clients that you've definitely heard of, are backed by Google Ventures and other top VCs, and the two charismatic founders sold their last company to a massive digital giant for $270MM, so they know what they're doing and have proven success doing so.
Their product is a cloud-based platform geared specifically towards enterprise clients, providing a framework to better solve for data ownership, activation, and attribution. It’s a product that’s really the first of its kind, and something that both CTOs and CMOs are very excited about, as it helps them wrangle and utilize mobile data in entirely new ways, bringing disparate APIs into one platform. It’s fast becoming a “must have” in transforming the entire industry and how people look at, think about, and make decisions about mobile data.

This is a very exciting time to come onboard here, as they're growing like nuts, and the $ is rolling in the bank! The company is fast-paced, and dynamic, and employees are privvy to equity, 100% health coverage and unlimited PTO - they’ve been recognized by Crain’s as one of the Top 20 Places to Work in NYC.
In this fulltime UX DESIGNER role, you’ll be the 2nd hire on the UX team, working closely with the Director of UX, who we adore. You’ll also be communicating directly with the co-founders, so you'll need to feel comfortable presenting and selling in solutions to high-level stakeholders, who you'll work with directly to define requirements.

You have insatiable curiosity, enjoy getting under the hood, and know the right questions to ask. It’s important to have a deep love technology and enjoy collaborating with engineers and speaking their language; you'll be collaborating with them from requirements gathering to QA, making sure everything's executed to spec. You’ll be turning out super-detailed wires and workflows, writing dev-friendly annotations, and solving for challenging, meaty workflow solutions.
Your portfolio reflects experience in:
  • Complex wires and workflow diagrams for data-heavy transactional enterprise b2b applications and/or software
  • Good writing and annotation skills, for engineer-friendly documents
  • Demonstrably high level of attention to detail
  • Dashboards and data viz, ideally drawing from multiple data sources - if you have some Visual Design prowess, great, but if not, all good.

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate well with engineers
  • A positive, open attitude and the willingness to pitch in and get things done
  • Ability to go with the flow of change and start-up speed
  • Self-motivated, organized and accountable
  • Agile / Lean UX experience, ability to move designs from requirements to development quickly
  • Ideally experience in Sketch, InVision, Zeplin, and GitHub
  • UI / Adobe CS skills (Photoshop, Illustrator) a plus
  • Like to haves: Business Analysis skills, basic HTML/CSS experience and/or app developmentst
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Excellent healthcare coverage
  • Unlimited vacation policy
  • Flexible office hours
  • Commuter discounts
  • 401k program
  • Paid company outings
  • Dog-friendly office (and “paw-ternity” leave for adopters of rescue pets - AWH!)
  • Delicious snacks and free meals
